Waste Sorting Awareness Project, India 2024
I had the opportunity to collaborate on a project in India focused on raising awareness about proper waste segregation—specifically separating wet and dry waste. In India, waste sorting remains a significant challenge, with only about 25% of waste being segregated at the source, leading to environmental issues and inefficiencies in recycling.
This project went beyond traditional awareness campaigns. It included door-to-door education and street performances designed to engage the public creatively. These efforts helped spread the message of proper waste sorting in a fun and impactful way. Additionally, I created a video to support the initiative, which you can check out now.
I’m grateful to have been part of such an important initiative and am inspired by the dedication of the local communities involved. It’s encouraging to see the effort being put into making a lasting change.
